Your whole life is the manifestation of the thoughts that go on in your head.
VOL. 84 - THURSDAY, MAY 12
Hey, #NoteddTribe! Today is day 132 out of 365 days, and it FEELS like a third of the year is gone. This week alone has felt like a year has passed with grant and accelerator applications, client projects and launches, content and video creation, and daily routines of personal and professional tasks, meetings, and appointments. It has been nothing short of chaotic, and maybe it’s because, once again, Mercury is retrograde.
Experts share that the way to get ahead, or for us, get around the crusade of chaos, is by being clear about what we want and manifesting those goals, ideas, and dreams into reality. Whether you manifest through visualizations, journaling, or revisiting old work, it’s advised to slow down, reflect, and review what you’ve learned in your past to help shape the future life you want during this period.
We won’t hold you from making those goals a reality. Please check out the rest of the newsletter filled with what you need to know from this week, and try this weekend.
As always, #StayNotedd!

“No matter the setting, showcasing natural Black hair onscreen is important. It normalizes Afro textures for non-Black audiences.” Tiffany Martinbrough of The New York Times spoke with show creators and hairstylists behind our favorite shows and films like Insecure, King Richard, Coming 2 America, The Harder They Fall, and Black-Ish to discuss the importance of Black hair representation from hairstyles to the care of our crowns on screens. They discuss the complicated relationship between our hair and the lack of its true representation in Hollywood and how each brought Black, Afro-textured hair to the forefront.
