Lambda, Delta — What Is Going On With COVID?
If you’re like us, we’re still tracking COVID like the pandemic just began. However, it’s been a little confusing (particularly with the misinformation shared) and hard to keep up, due to the rise of multiple variants.
A Texas hospital recently reported their first case of the lambda COVID-19 variant. According to the World Health Organization (WHO), the first detection of the lambda variant was in Peru in December 2020. Currently, WHO designates lambda as a “variant of interest.”
So, what does that mean? The Washington Post and CNBC share a roundup of information in their recent articles on all things related to the lambda variant.

Check out the article to identify your attachment style, and take control of how you manage your time. We’re a split between “Anxious Preoccupied Attachment” and “Fearful Avoidant Attachment.” Bonus: Share your attachment style with us by replying to this email, as we can all learn better time management strategies from each other.

We encourage you to check out Ashleah Nelson’s article, “Finding My Value When the World Only Wants My Labor.” Her opening lines alone will make you want to read the article, maybe even read it a few times. Here’s a brief excerpt:
When you ask someone what they love about a Black woman in their life, their response often involves labor or sacrifice.
“She puts everyone’s needs before her own.”
“She always gets it done.”
“I can always count on her.”
And the fact is, it’s true. Black women work hard to be everything to everybody... except when it comes to ourselves.
